“Finnish loudspeaker expert Amphion is well-known in professional, semi-pro and domestic circles alike. The distinctive, minimalist slim cabinets are designed to maximise mid-range clarity from its smallest loudspeaker to its largest, this gives the loudspeakers an unprecedented ability to render speech with intelligibility and precision. This can only be performed by very careful crossover design and component matching. This is coupled to a clever cabinet design that manages to minimise room interaction, making both the influence of the room on the loudspeaker, and the listener’s relative position to the loudspeakers, less potentially damaging to the overall performance. This wide dispersion sound is a function of both the drive units and the narrowness of the front baffle relative to the width of the tweeter horn. These unique properties are rarely found in combination, and certainly not throughout an entire range, suggesting Amphion really knows what it’s doing.”
